Sirpa believes that anyone can learn reiki. It is a simple technique that comes naturally to everyone. Taking a reiki course is often the first step for people wanting to discover more about the energetic body, explore esoteric topics and start on their own path to healing and spiritual development.

Reiki Certification Courses

Level 1

Introduction to Reiki

SHODEN – beginner teachings

This covers the basics of Reiki so that you can practice on yourself and your immediate family.

2 day course

Pre-requisites:

None!

This course is open to everyone of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Level 2

Reiki Practitioner

OKUDEN – inner hidden teachings

On completion you can register as a practitioner with Reiki NZ and offer reiki to the public

2 day course

Pre-requisites:

A min 12 hr in person Level 1 course completed at least 3 months prior to the start of level 2.

Level 3a

Reiki Master

SHINPIDEN – mystery teachings

Masters level is split into 3a - Reiki Master Practitioner and 3b Master Teacher

Weekend course

Pre-requisites:

6 months since level 2 attunement (in the Usui Tradition) and a record of at least 20 Reiki treatments given.

Master Teacher

This is a practical course completed one to one with Sirpa. You will get to prepare your course materials, gain experience and confidence teaching reiki and benefit from 1 to 1 mentorship.

The Soul Tree Difference

Soul Tree Reiki Graduates are trained to the highest standards that exceed the requirements of ReikiNZ. All reiki certification courses are in person and include 2 full days training. Sirpa places a big emphasis on gaining practical experience and confidence. Students should expect to both give and receive at least 5 reiki sessions during a course. In 2025 Soul Tree is offering courses in Auckland and Christchurch. All graduates become part of a wonderful community and receive ongoing support from Sirpa.
